My Neurotic Engagement System (NES)

Times are tough for many and weird for many more.

I'm not sure we know how to deal with everything that's going on appropriately.
I sure don't.

Maybe this is the human condition expressing itself in this environment.

While I think I'm doing fine, there are times where I'll get hit with anxiety, anger, disassociation, frustration, exasperation, etc.

You probably know what I mean.

"My Neurotic Engagement Situation (N.E.S.)" is a look back at select legendary characters from the early days of interacting with video games.

That's when I experience "Neurotic Engagement Situations". These are times when I have to put my mind in the state of the game. How do the controls work? What's the final boss? Is there a warp zone nearby? Are there any secret codes? Where is the red key?
